Did you find a large creator telling something completely different to what you've heard before?
Then did you find more accounts telling that?
Then did you find almost all gurus telling to do that?
This is exactly the 'herd mentality'.
When one person tells something, all the others tell it without trying it themselves.
If one comes up with a fake tactic, it would spread like fire and everyone would be preaching that.
Although we cannot correct the small creators getting influenced by the large ones and preaching the same, we can be careful when listening to advice.
Before taking in any advice by any person, think twice and think about the pros and cons of it.
If someone tells you that you need to have a feed layout which is very well arranged in order to grow. Think about it. Do you follow an account because of their feed layout? Or have you ever not followed an account with valuable content because their feed layout sucks?
